Olivia's braces

My Olivia just grew up!  She has a very crowded little mouth so the orthodontist recommended that we get braces!

She is only 7 but since there was not room for her teeth to grow in, we had to get 2 teeth pulled in preparation for the braces.

This is her before her appointment.

AFTER

You can see the holes left from her teeth!

All guazed up & holding her teeth!  One in each hand.  Check out the size of those roots!

Next step, the orthodontist.

Open wide!

And done!  She is loving her braces!  In fact she wishes she had them on top too! (not to worry she will have the full set when she is older! This is just preventative work!)

Now on to the weather!

We hit the 80's last week so the kids said it was time for water fun!

A bunch of the neighborhood kids came over & we had the sprinklers on in the backyard & then they moved out to the front yard with the hose!

The weather has been going from 80's back down to 60's & back up to 80's! In fact this weekend is supposed to drop down to the 50's!!  Let's just settle & stick with the 70's!

Spring soccer has started & my cute little team has done better in their first 2 games than they did all fall season!  Woohoo!  Our first game we tied 3 to 3 & the second game 4 to 4!  And Rigby made his first goal!  It was awesome!  It is a lot more fun to coach when we actually score goals!

This was yesterday when the weather was back to warm!  Olivia & Rigby made their own pool out of the wheelbarrow!

Olivia loves to smile big now with her braces!

And my little man!

Cute!
(Phew..done! That was a long post!)

Spring Break '11

Over Spring Break we went to Monterey CA to visit my sister Sue & her husband Rick.  We started off at the beach watching the giant waves come in.  It was super windy - blowing in a storm.

It was really chilly too!

You would never know that we were standing in front of the ocean in this picture!

I love this picture!

Then we went to the aquarium.

The kids sitting with Sue watching a feeding of the fish from the scuba diver.

Jelly fish amaze me! I just love them!

They had tones of seahorses too.

Whatcha looking at Sue?

The penguins were fun too.

We then went on post to pick up Rick & stopped for a photo with the tank.

I don't know the names of the beaches we stopped at but this one is right next to the Pebble Beach Golf Course.  We drove around 17 Mile Drive & checked out the golf course.  Trent & Rick got a round in at a public course that was right at the edge of the ocean but not at the $500 a round Pebble Beach course!

Clear down at the waters edge was a bride & groom getting their pictures taken. Right in the middle of the picture.

My camera battery died after taking this picture so I wasn't able to capture the rest of the trip. (This was day 1 & only half way through the day! And I didn't take my charger!) We also went to see some Redwood trees in the Great Basin park, went to the wharf where the kids held birds, drove along PCH to where the road was closed due to where it washed into the ocean!  Hopefully Sue will send us pictures that she took of the rest of the trip! It was a lot of fun but very cold & wet! It rained the whole time!

Look who learned how to ride a bike!

Trent has been trying to teach Rigby for some time now, he just wasn't getting the whole balance part down!  So we switched over to the scooter to help him learn & it worked!

After a week of scooter riding & an awesome power band - he said it totally helped him, he had it figured out.  Time to go back to the bike!

This time he took right to riding his bike!

Good job Rigby!

Breaking News!!

This was the scene right out my office window when I finished my last post!  There were about 30 marked & unmarked police cars, fire truck, ambulance, SWAT team & a K9 unit at the church across from me!

They boarded the SWAT van just like in the shows!

And they are off!

Ready to go bust some drug dealers!

They apparently hit 2 houses without incident & were back in just a few minutes - I have insiders!  It was quite a thrill!  Now to watch the arrest page!
*Also I was informed that since they were rendezvousing across from my house that it meant that the drug houses were NOT in my neighborhood so no need to fear!! And I did check out the arrest page & they are in the area but not my ward or neighborhood.

Happy Valentines Day!

We wanted the girls to look extra cute today so we went with hearts in their hair!  I think they are cute!  Now they will look good for their Valentines!

See http://www.princesshairstyles.com/ for how tos & cute dos!

Family hike in Cedar Pocket 2/12/11

Saturday was beautiful so we decided to take advantage of the day & go for a hike.  Somehow we ended up in the Gorge & hiked at the Cedar Pocket park area.
We hiked up to the top of a hill to roll a rock off but we couldn't get it to budge!

So we posed in front of it instead!

Looking off the edge

And just to prove I was there...

I hate pictures of me!  Blehh..
But a good fun hike!

Megan is engaged & Liv's 9th tooth gone!

Megan & Kenny are engaged!  They are getting married on May 13th!  We stopped by to see the happy couple while they were in town.

While there, Olivia pulled out ANOTHER tooth! #9 for those of you counting!  So here she is in her bloody glory! (of course she didn't know it was bleeding or she would of never let me take the picture!)

All cleaned up with Jana.

Now to get all her teeth grown back in!  She still has 5 empty spaces!
