Friday 7/15/11

(This post actually begins down at Moss Family Vacation 2011 if you want to start at the beginning!)

We spent another day at the lake but with seadoos this time.  Lainee wakeboarded & the rest of us just went for rides on it.

Right before I took this picture Rigby had his arms up behind his head kickin back relaxin.

Rigby trying to push out the big log.

The logs were the big hit at the lake again!

That night Grandpa Moss gave a family home evening on testimonies & let the kids make their own testimony gloves. It was a neat way to end the week together.
We all headed home on Saturday & just like that it was over!  It was a fun trip & it went by very fast!

Thursday 7/14/11

Before starting our hike at Ensign Peak, Dave gave us a little history lesson on the importance of this peak.

An Ensign to the world!

And it was windy up on top!

Hiking back down, Rigby found a round rock that he rolled,

and rolled,

got it out of the bushes when it rolled off the trail,

and rolled it some more!

He even rolled it down this waterfall thing.  You can see it at the bottom step!

After the hike we went to the Gateway & saw Cars 2 & then met back up with the family for dinner at an Italian restaurant - thanks mom & dad!

Wednesday 7/13/11

We started off Wednesday with a hike, Stewart Cascades, which was on the back side of Timpanogas. It was BEAUTIFUL!!!
I loved this hike! It was a 2 mile hike to the falls & of course 2 back. It was through dense forests & so green!

These falls were above the big one that we hiked to, they were all over!

The last bit of snow melting & creating the falls.

The waterfall is about twice as long as you can see in this picture.  We are sitting on a cliff edge & you could feel the mist blowing off of the waterfall, especially when you go down to the bottom!

After bowling we went down for lunch & bowling!

Rigby

He bowled a strike & ran back to the screen to see it!  His face was the best!  He was so excited!

He may have also beaten us!!

Tuesday 7/12/11

We spent the day at Jordanelle Reservior & it was fun!  They had this playground for the kids & big grass area.

There were lots of debri in the lake & the kids especially enjoyed the big logs.

Isn't she cute?!  I love her cute little curls around her face!

And this was back at the cabin, my little monkey Olivia.

Monday 7/11/11 continued

We then headed over to Park City & went to the Shoe Tree Park.  Look closely in the trees, hundreds of shoes have been thrown up into these trees.

There were ice skates, snowboard boots, snow boots, work boots, flip flops, running shoes, literally all kinds of shoes!

Not sure what was being said here but thought it was cute!

A little frisbee action.

I caught Grandpa Moss & Lainee having  a talk on the bridge.

Then we headed down to another park that had musical instruments.

And of course there was a play park as well!

Queen of the hill!

Of course when in Park City you must shop!  So we did some of that!  Got the kids new Nikes for school & a few other things.

Monday 7/11/11

We started the day out by hiking Cascade Falls. This picture shows the levels of the path & falls.

A ranger took us on a flower hunt.  He would show them a picture from a book & then we would hike until we found it.  He even gave all the kids prizes!

After the hike we went to lunch at Dairy Keen in Heber - home of the train!
