Christmas Dance Recital 12/11/10

The girls had their dance recital last Saturday.  It was so cute & they did a really terrific job!

Tallie kinda danced with her group!  This was during the rehearsal & she kept her fingers in her mouth the whole time!

Olivia was awesome!  A natural little dancer! (Don't know where that came from!)  She remembered the whole dance!

Lainee made a beautiful ballerina!  She also did a great job!

I think my girls enjoyed getting to perform on a stage!

These shots were after their dances during the rehearsal.  My cute girls!

All the dancing girls!

Family picture

Grandma & Grandpa Moss came to the recital.  Grandma Wilson came to the rehearsal but we didn't get a picture of her.

The girls with their flowers.

And Rigby & Tallie (his ex girlfriend!  That is what I heard him telling his little friend D!  He also said he french kissed her!  Kissing cousins!  I was so funny to hear him talk like that!  And a little shocking!  He is only 4!)

After the show Trent & I went out for a birthday dinner to Outback since my birthday was on a Sunday but more on that to come!

November in a flash!

This post is going to be backwards! I never can remember to upload from most recent to oldest & I am way too lazy to go back & fix them! So here we go!
First a little preface: we went to the Wilson cabin for Thanksgiving & it was freezing! Actually it was below ZERO! At one point it was -15 degrees! We ended the weekend with a snow ball fight!

Couldn't be in snow without one right?!

And of course SOMEONE had to cry at some point! And he's about to cry more with that snow coming right for him! There may have been 2 that cried but only caught one in the act!

Now to my favorites, Olivia's "snowball" being thrown - it must of been too cold because the snow wouldn't even stick! But it made for some cool shots!

And my Rigby when he was smiling!
He usually is smiling & this picture is just too cute!

Bradshaws were there & got a tree also!

Doug & Keli also got a tree. (We are getting to the presnowball fight now!) Mom & Dad got a tree too but I didn't get a picture! But get excited for the next picture because she is a beauty!

AAAAHHHHHH!!!!!! And the bells rang out!
Trent saw her from down the hillside & said "I found our tree!" Of course I had to go check her out for myself & the closer I got the prettier she was! I wish I could of taken her with the snow too!

Here we go starting out on our hunt for the perfect tree!

Rigby found a good place to ride!

Anyone want pie?
This was after we ate 6 pies already & had 6 more pies not in the picture! Everyone literally could of eaten their very own pie!

Trent read 'The Hunger Games' while we were there! Keli had brought it for her to read but Trent got a hold of it & read it all!

What good is a big meal if you can't nap after? Grandma found her spot!

The kids enjoyed their fair share of hot chocolate!

Now we are back to the weekend before Thanksgiving! You may be thinking, Hey I've seen this picture already! But you'd be wrong! While attending a birthday party, Olivia ate some pizza & knocked out her 3rd top tooth! That's right 3 missing teeth in a row! Talk about a new verse to the song! Did I mention that the other top tooth is loose? Not the easiest way to eat a Thanksgiving dinner!

This is a cute center at Rigby's preschool. They love hammering the nails & then pulling them out of the foam!

Pull pull pull! Great mouth action there!

Too cute! Rigby & Nikolas playing hard.
Now I need to get my Christmas pictures up, but first I had better take some!

Catch up!

Rigby got to play soccer this year & I got to be his coach! I'm not sure he learned a whole lot but he did have fun! We had 6 very young boys on our team & we got smashed every game. We're talking 13-0 in a 20 minute game! Finally in the second to last game we scored our first goal! Hooray for Dawson! Then our last game we scored 2! Both by Coben, the other team secured our first & only victory by scoring 2 more goals for us! We'll be playing in the spring as well.

Rigby's team: Front row Bodie, Jace, Rigby; back row Dawson, Bowdrie & Coben.

Lainee played again this year - Olivia opted out because it made her tired to play soccer! Lainee's team is the Purple Pirates! Front row: Delilah, Carissa, Jessica, Lainee. Back row: Aaliyah, Abbie, Monica, Kia, & Kenya. And coach Jessica & her husband (I don't know his name but he basically took over & coached.)

Once again, Lainee proved to be a great asset to the team! She was a high scorer for the team! In the picture she is holding up 2 fingers for 2 goals - not for peace! She continues to be a good athlete & enjoys sports!

This tree is what I see going out my front door! Unfortunately its not in my yard! But isn't it beautiful? It belongs to the church that I live across the street from.

So speaking of my house, I wanted to show some updates! This is the before picture, kind of plain & dead grass.

After! I made & installed the shutters myself! Didn't it just dress up the house?! And notice the grass! Back to green! We (ok Trent) reseeded the grass & its growing in nicely! Oh I also painted the house numbers to stand out.

This picture is far away but its to show the before picture of the side window that partly behind the bush.

And after. Again, kind of hard to see behind the bush but you can see the shutters! (I still need to trim that bush!)

This week at school Lainee gets to be the "King of the Jungle" spotlight. She made a poster of some of the places she's been to & got to answer questions from her class.

Good job Lanes!

In my last post I showed Olivia with the front tooth that she lost. This is how she looked for a week & a half! Notice the tooth is going gray! I called her my little jack-o-lantern with those crazy teeth!
Trent had told her to get the tooth out or he would pull it out for her! Every night for that week Trent would "operate" on her. They had a system where he would wiggle the tooth around & she would hold up fingers based on pain, 1 finger ok, 2 & 3 progressively hurting more, 4 fingers meant stop. Here she is at a 2 with minor pain (again the 2 fingers not meaning peace!).

These pictures really were on different nights! She just really likes that nightgown & wears it a lot! Finally it was down to the last strand & I distracted her while Trent pulled it out with out her even feeling it or knowing that he did! Perfect timing for a little Christmas tune - you know which one! "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!"

The Last Few Weeks

(I can't get the pictures to work right - they won't align, so the captioning does not line up with the right pictures! Sorry!)

The girls had CrAzY hAiR day at school & this is what we came up with. Excuse the 6 year old throwing the fit! As for Rigby, how could I not take a picture of that cutie!

Then came the deer hunt... it was my first rifle hunt & I NEVER got to use my gun!

We did get a flat tire though! Good thing we had 3 guys to change it!

We did see a lot of does. If you look closely you can see a line of deer making their way up the hill, just none with antlers!

Next was the kids Halloween parade at school. Well since I can't get the pictures in order, next is Olivia after school showing me that she lost one of her front teeth! We've been working on the one that's still in & she got knocked at school & it made the tooth that fell out really loose so when she ate a french fry at school her tooth fell out! Then she lost the tooth at school but the tooth fairy still gave her 6 quarters - one for every year old!

Ok now its the school parade! Lainee was Cleopatra! And of course I managed to take her picture with the sun glaring behind her! Olivia was a gothic ballerina! We decided later that she was a zombie ballerina & her teeth looked more zombie-ish!

Then it was Saturday night, time for some trick or treating! Lainee was Cleopatra, Rigby made a comeback as a bat again, & Olivia was a wizard - she was embarassed to wear it to school so she just wore it trick or treating.

These are our jack-o-lanterns we did this year. The "pirate flag" or skull & cross bones was Rigby's pick, trick or treat with faces was Lainee's, & the wildcat was Olivia's pumpkin. Fun times! Oh we also had a neighborhood Hallowienie roast before the kids went out, byo hot dogs & a dish to share & they had homemade rootbeer & fixings.
Now only 3 weeks until the Christmas tree goes up! hehehe!
