Olivia's fieldtrip to kindergarten! 4/9/09

Olivia's class got to go to a real kindergarten class & see how fun school will be! I think the best part for them was the bus ride! They went clear over to Red Mountain Elementary in Ivins. They sang some silly songs & colored some books. Gotta love preschool! Then they got to go to the park to play & have lunch. Rigby loves getting to tag along when mom is the helper!

What good kids lining up & staying there!

All buckled & ready to go!

A tooti ta, a tooti ta, a tooti ta ta!

Rigby's attempt to "A tooti ta".

I don't know who the boy is, he just happened to walk past at just the right time!

Update! 4/13/09

We had major break through with Rigby & his potty training! About 2 weeks ago Rigby decided that he wanted to use the big boy toilet so I thought "Sure this will be fun!" totally not expecting anything to happen. BUT he started peeing in the toilet everyday & keeping his pullup dry, except for pooping. We tried & tried to keep him on the toilet until he would poop but he wouldn't. He went for one whole day not pooping (he's usually very regular with 2 poops a day). So the next morning went he went the bathroom, he pooped! He got a fruit rollup for his treat and after that he has pooped every time he's gone to the bathroom since then! He will stay on the toilet & push until his face is bright red & poops, just for the rollup! Then yesterday he told us that he needed to go to the bathroom!!! I can officially say ... he's potty trained!!

Spring Break '09 3/13 - 3/21/09

Our Spring Break started out with a fun visit from our old neighbors, the Proctors. They came over Friday night & played & ate dinner with us. The kids were so excited! So they bought bubbles for all of them to play with & they played & played - in the sink, in the dress ups, in the play yard, in Rigby's room, & took lots of pictures of themselves! Sister Doris Carper came over to visit for a little bit also. We then had a barbeque. We also got to meet their newest family member, Brooklyn, who was born after they moved. We love & miss the Proctors!

Saturday morning we headed down to Vegas. We spent most of the day at Circus Circus. Lainee got to go on stage during the clown show & spin a ball on her finger. She loved the rollercoaster & thought the boat ride with the drop was boring! Olivia enjoyed the froghopper & carousel while the only ride we could get Rigby to go on was the airplanes! After Circus Circus we went to Trent's sister house. Judy & Shawn were very good to us & watched the kids while Trent & I went out on our anniversary dinner to the Cheesecake Factory. While at the Forums in Cesaers Palace we ran into Trevor Moss who was down for the Utah game. We stayed the night at Judy's & went to church with them on Sunday. After church we went to see the aquarium at the Silverton. The mermaid came out while we were there & the girls loved that! We also walked through the Bass Pro Shop. That was cool! All the fish & sharks & of course all of the animals! We had a great time!

We then got to go to the Wilson cabin for a couple of days on the following Thursday. Trent & the kids held for the first time, a horny toad! Or as Rigby likes to call it a tormato toad! (mix between tomato & tornado! And his face is so cute as he tries to remember what to call it! He squirms his face from side to side!) The kids were so scared to hold it but we coaxed them into it! It was a perfect weather not hot & not cold! Just right! We took a drive around the canyon on the 4 wheelers looking for elk sheds but didn't find any but it was fun anyway. For not having the week off of work we still had a lot of fun! We headed home Friday night so Trent could work at the rental shop on Saturday & even managed to get in a round of golf that evening for Trent! All in all, a fun week!

Lainee's 1st grade program 3/12/09

The first grade did a patriotic program this year and did a great job. Especially Lainee! She got to be one of the bell ringers, 1 of 3 in her class. They even had red, white, & blue plates that they waved with one of the songs. It was very cute and my Lainee looked very cute! When Lainee got done, Rigby & Olivia went running to her with big hugs! I love it when my kids get along! Nice job Lanes!
